Sabrina Carpenter Trivia, From Disney Star to Become a Notable Singer and Hollywood Actress

Disney Star Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter or Sabrina Carpenter is known as a singer, songwriter, and an actress. She rose to fame when starring in Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World in 2014. Branched out to pop career, her name was getting more popular with the album Eyes Wide Open (2015). Sabrina also appeared on several big screens.

The multitalented artist was born on May 11, 1999 in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania and has been interested in performing since she was young. She then went for auditions and finally got casted as a guest role (young victim) in NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2010. After her debut, she played in The Unprofessional and in Disney’s Gulliver Quinn in 2011. Two years later, Sabrina appeared in the Austin & Ally: Moon Week & Mentors as a nerd contestant Lucy Gluckman. In late 2013, she took a role as Rowan Blanchard’s best friend, Maya Hart in a sitcom Girl Meets World, which is the spin-off of Boy Meets World in Disney Channel. The series premiered in 2014, featuring Sabrina as the singer of the theme song “Take On the World”. She also lent her voice for a character in animated series Milo Murphy’s Law.

In addition to her acting career, Sabrina Carpenter made a solo debut with an EP Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying (2014) with the same-titled single. The effort received great response and followed with a full-length album entitled Eyes Wide Open in 2015. It was boosted with the hit single “We’ll Be the Stars”. The album earned Sabrina the 2016 Radio Disney Music Award. The sophomore set, EVOLution was released in 2016 with the singles “Run and Hide” and “All We Have Is Love”. EVOLution was promoted through a sold-out headlining tour that began on October. The following year, Sabrina became the opening artist for The Vamps tour in the UK and Ariana Grande in Brazil. She also involved in a collaboration with Mike Perry and The Vamps for the single “Hands”.

Still in 2017, she launched her next single “Why”. She worked with DJ Jonas Blue in her first 2018 song, “Alien”. Singular, her next album was launched in two ‘acts’. The first one, Singular: Act I was released in 2018 and Singular: Act II in 2019. Both of them were promoted in The Singular Tour and later she released two songs “Exhale” and “Pushing 20”. Her single “Honeymoon Fades” was launched in February 2020 as a surprise in Valentine’s Day.

After contributing to the soundtrack of Netflix’s Sierra Burgess Is a Loser entitled “Lie for Love” in 2018, Sabrina Carpenter returned to movie by taking role as Hailey in The Hate U Give. In 2019, she appeared in an independent movie The Short History of the Long Road as Nola. She also played in Netflix movie Tall Girl as Harper Kreyman. Sabrina acted as Cady Heron in Mean Girls and became her debut for Broadway. Unfortunately, the show was shut after two performances, due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Her name on the rise, she consistently worked hard and explored her skills in both singing and acting.
